Personal Information Provided by You. We collect information including names; phone numbers; email addresses; mailing addresses; usernames; passwords; contact preferences; contact or authentication data; billing addresses; debit/credit card numbers; employment information, job application details, interview schedules, salary expectations, career goals, skills and qualifications, work experience, education information, and other job-related information provided by you directly. We may collect information including date of birth, age, geographic location, address, and information available on your resume provided by you. We may also store job opportunity information you track including company names, job titles, application dates, application status, contact information for recruiters and hiring managers, interview notes, and follow-up reminders.
Payment Data. Through our payment processing vendors, we may collect payment card information necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number), and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is stored directly by our payment processor; we do not store any payment card data directly.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

In Short: We collect personal information automatically as you navigate our Services.
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage and browser information about how you use our Services. The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include cookies and web beacons that permit us to verify system and server integrity and generate statistics around the popularity of certain content. We process the information collected through such technologies, which may include or be combined with personal information, to help operate certain features of our Services, to enhance your experience through personalization, and to help us better understand the features of our Services that you and other users are most interested in.
Website Delivery and Appearance – We may use third-party providers to enable certain customer interaction opportunities, content delivery (like audio or video), or other service capabilities. For example, we partner with service providers to host our Services and deliver specific content in support of our Services.
Website analytics
Our marketing website, sp-jot.com, uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It records page visits, the referring page, browser and device type, and approximate location (country and city) based on your IP address, and it counts when a waitlist or beta application form is submitted, along with the option selected in that form. We do not send your name, email address, or other form entries to Google, and we have turned off Google's advertising and cross-device features. Google Analytics uses cookies, described in our Cookie Policy. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We do not use session replay tools, and we do not use analytics in the SP-JOT app or the JOT Snatcher browser extension.
Affiliate referrals
If you arrive at sp-jot.com through an affiliate's link, our affiliate partner service, Rewardful, sets a cookie that records which affiliate referred you, so they can be credited if you subscribe. It does not track you on other websites.
Cookie Choices – To manage your preferences with respect to these technologies, you can change your cookie preferences by customizing your browser settings to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable certain cookies, please note that some parts of our Services may not function properly.
JOT Snatcher browser extension
When you click Collect, the extension reads the job posting on the page you are viewing, such as the job title, company, location, salary, and description, and fills in a form for you to review. Nothing is saved to your account until you click Send. The extension does not read pages unless you open it, and it does not track your browsing.
If the extension cannot identify the job title or company on its own, it may send the visible text of that job posting to our servers, which use an AI service provider (Anthropic) to extract the job details. Only the job posting's text and web address are sent, not your account details, browsing history, or other pages. Our AI provider processes this text to return the extracted fields and does not use it to train its models under our agreement.
To improve reliability, the extension records anonymous diagnostics about each capture: the job site, which fields were found, the extension version, and how long it took. These records do not include your identity, the job's content, or the page address.
2. How Do We Use Your Information?
In Short: We process your information for our business purposes consistent with this privacy notice.
We use the information we collect or receive:
- To facilitate account creation and logon process. We use the email address you provide to create your account and sign you in.
- To provide job tracking services. We use your information to enable you to track job opportunities, manage applications, schedule interviews, set reminders, and organize your job search activities.
- To enable data synchronization. We may use your information to synchronize your job tracking data across multiple devices and platforms where you access our Services.
- To post testimonials. We post testimonials on our Services that may contain personal information. Prior to posting a testimonial, we will obtain your consent to use your name and the content of the testimonial.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
